Youth Ministries

CROSSFIT – Youth Ministries (6th – 12th grades)

      • Wednesday Nights 6:30-7:45 pm

      • Crossfit meets in the Youth Room in the lower level (brightly colored splatter paint room).
CROSSFIT THEME VERSE:  1 Timothy 4:8
“For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it hold promise for the present life and also for the                 life to come.”

MINISTRY GOALS:  Crossfit is a place where teens can find love, support, encouragement & Biblical Teaching to know, love & follow the Living & Returning Savior Jesus.
We want to help teens answer the questions:
      • What do I believe?
      • Why do I believe it?
      • How do I accurately share what I believe with others?
YOUTH MINISTRY METHODOLOGY:

We strive to have a balanced approach to ministry as it applies Discipleship and Outreach, but we lean a little more on the Discipleship side.

We want our Youth Ministries to be a positive influence for spiritual growth and to help teens be committed, lifelong followers of our Savior Jesus Christ by helping them develop critical thinking skill and a Biblical Christian worldview that will influence all aspects of life, conduct and doctrine. (2 Pet. 3:18)

      • [Growing the saints = Discipleship]

We also want our Youth Ministries to be a place for unsaved teens to hear the Biblical Gospel, receive Jesus as his/her Savior and grow in their faith. (Matt. 28:19-20)

      • [Outreach = reaching the lost]
CROSSFIT EVENTS:
      • Winter Retreat – A weekend retreat in early Feb. to a Bible camp in Northern Wisconsin for Bible teaching, worship, fellowship and winter fun.
      • Summer Lock-In – This summer retreat focuses on a particular theme or topic relevant to teens.
      • Fall Retreat – Our fall retreat focuses on a relevant theme or topic to edify and encourage spiritual growth.
      • No School Days – We often offer activities on No-School days like Spring Break, to provide edifying things for the teens to engage in and develop fellowship among the group.
      • Word of God Wednesdays – During the summer on Wednesdays (July-Aug.), teens are invited to come with a verse or two from God’s Word to share and discuss with the group. (Deut. 6:6-7; Col. 3:16)
      • Service Projects – Each year the group selects their own service project, then works to raise awareness and finances for that particular ministry selected to follow Jesus’s words, “It is more blessed to give than to receive. “ (Acts 20:25)
CROSSFIT FACILITIES:
      • Game Room – In addition to our Youth Room, we also have a Game Room that has foosball, carpetball, table (rod) hockey, ping pong, Nintendo and numerous board games.  many of our Game Room items have been purchased by our teens who have contributed their own finances as a way to invest in the ministry.
      • Game Equipment – We’ve also invested in things to make games and activities better and hopefully more fun; like our 40 yard flag football field complete with scaled goal posts and painted boundaries & end zones, floor hockey sticks & goals, Nerf Dart Tag sets, sand volleyball area, capture the flag flags, lazer tag gear and vinyl balls for dodgeball.  We want to promote good, clean fun for teens with great equipment.
